EQUIPMENT

HD2 Filter
The new HD2 filter with polyethylene filter material has pores 70% finer than felt and polyamide filters, allowing it to filter even the finest dust particles. It is also oil-repellent, making it easy to clean. The PET-coated filter core can be mounted and removed quickly without tools.

Long-life air filter with pre-filtration
This innovative system significantly extends filter life. Thanks to the pre-filtration, it removes coarser dirt particles, reducing the workload on the main filter. The chainsaw can operate longer without the need to clean the filter compared to a chainsaw without this type of filter.

STIHL 2-MIX engine
The STIHL 2-MIX engine is both powerful and economical. The separation of exhaust gases from inert gases minimizes unburned particle emissions, increasing performance and saving fuel.

Compensator
Allows for a constant fuel-air mixture even when the air filter becomes dirtier.

Ematic system for chain lubrication
Depending on the type of guide bar and wood, the STIHL Ematic system reduces chain oil consumption by up to 50%. It consists of an Ematic guide bar, Oilomatic chain, and an oil pump with adjustable and reduced flow rate. The lubricant is thus delivered precisely and with minimal loss exactly where it is needed.

Anti-vibration system
Specially positioned damping zones reduce the transmission of vibrations from the engine and chain to the handle and grip.

Tool-free fuel cap
Special caps for the fuel and oil tanks allow for easy opening and closing without difficulty.

Side chain tensioner
The chain is tensioned laterally via the sprocket. This avoids any contact between the operator’s hand and the sharp chain.

STIHL M-Tronic (M)
Fully electronic fuel metering and ignition timing adjustment. The STIHL M-Tronic (M) system ensures optimal engine performance, constant speed, and excellent acceleration behavior in every operating condition. Manual carburetor adjustment is no longer necessary.

Decompression valve
