EQUIPMENT

Long-life air filter with pre-filtration
This innovative system allows for a significantly longer filter lifespan. In fact, thanks to the pre-filtration, it removes coarser dirt particles, reducing the workload of the actual filter. The chainsaw can operate longer without needing filter cleaning compared to a chainsaw without this type of filter.

HD2 Filter
The new HD2 filter with polyethylene filter material has pores 70% finer than felt and polyamide filters, enabling it to filter even the finest dust particles. Additionally, it is oil-repellent, making it easy to clean. The PET-coated filter core can be mounted and removed quickly without tools.

Compensator
Ensures a constant fuel-air mixture even when the air filter becomes dirtier.

 ElastoStart
Thanks to the exclusive STIHL ElastoStart starting handle, combined with the manual fuel pump and the decompression valve, kickback during ignition is significantly reduced.

Ematic Chain Lubrication System
Depending on the type of guide bar and wood, the STIHL Ematic system reduces chain oil consumption by up to 50%. It consists of an Ematic guide bar, Oilomatic chain, and an adjustable low-flow oil pump. This ensures the lubricant is delivered precisely and with minimal loss exactly where it is needed.

Anti-vibration System
Specially positioned damping zones reduce the transmission of vibrations from the engine and chain to the handle and grip.

Tool-free Fuel Cap
Special caps for the fuel tank and oil tank allow for easy opening and closing without tools.

Side Chain Tensioner
The chain is tensioned laterally via the sprocket. This avoids any contact between the operator’s hand and the sharp chain.

STIHL M-Tronic (M)
Fuel metering and ignition timing are fully electronic. The STIHL M-Tronic (M) system ensures optimal engine performance, constant speed, and excellent acceleration behavior in all operating conditions. Manual carburetor adjustment is no longer necessary.

Adjustable Oil Pump
Different cutting lengths, types of wood, and working techniques require varying amounts of oil. The adjustable flow oil pump allows precise regulation of the oil flow rate according to requirements. It is possible to reduce the supplied oil quantity by up to 50%.

Kombi lever with stop button
The lever automatically returns to the operating position (I) after stopping.

Decompression valve
The decompression system automatically opens the intake valve. This absorbs pressure peaks and reduces the amount of force required on the starter rope.

"Ematic S" oil pump
