• Bioagrotech Kaolin, a plant defense enhancer, is a natural mineral (phyllosilicate) mainly composed of kaolinite (over 90%) that improves plant resistance to biotic stresses, such as those caused by the olive fruit fly, and abiotic stresses, including thermal stress and excessive transpiration
• Thanks to its physical characteristics, including white color and high particle fineness (D50 < 2 microns), kaolin is suitable for countless uses in both organic and conventional agriculture
• Chemically inert, it provides an effective preventive measure against numerous agronomic issues while fully respecting the environment and animal health, being free of polluting elements
• Due to its physical properties, particularly its bright white color, it helps reduce thermal stress and excessive radiation by reflecting part of the electromagnetic waves (ultraviolet, infrared) that can cause sunburn on leaves and fruits, while allowing most of the photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) to pass through
• Indeed, the uniform coverage of the material reduces the surface temperature of non-lignified organs (by up to 5-6 °C) and the transpiration rate, thus saving water for the crops
• Finally, it helps to even out fruit ripening and limit excessive alcohol content in wine grapes during particularly hot and dry vintages
• Bioagrotech Kaolin is effective in protecting against the olive fruit fly (Bactrocera oleae)

DOSAGE AND APPLICATION TIMING

Vineyard: 18-24 kg/ha per application, every 10-15 days from early July to the beginning of veraison
Olive: 30-40 kg/ha per application, 3-4 applications from June every 3-4 weeks
Herbaceous - Vegetable crops: Min. 10 kg/ha, 1-2 applications depending on the crop per application
