EQUIPMENT 

Oil sensor
The LED display of the oil sensor provides reliable information about the chain oil fill level. If the LED is off, there is oil in the system. Red indicates a lack of chain oil.

Control panel and notifications
The MSA 300 features an electronic control and notification cockpit with an LED display. It offers the user three selectable operating modes and allows easy and safe operation of the machine. Additionally, thanks to the large LED display, the user always has all important information about the chainsaw’s status at a glance, such as the chainsaw or chain brake status

Control handle
Thanks to the soft component on the control handle, your work tool fits comfortably in your hand and can be guided safely. Furthermore, the grip is improved by the soft grip, especially when wet.

Velcro filter
The velcro air filter of the new MSA 300 ensures consistent performance, even under the highest loads. His extremely fine-pored filtering material keeps even very fine dust and dirt away from the power electronics and the electric motor. To clean, spray the disassembled air filter with STIHL Varioclean, after a short soaking time wash it with lukewarm water and let it dry. It is ready for use again

EC Motor
Thanks to its compact design, low weight, and high functionality, the EC motor enables energy-efficient operation. In addition, this motor is distinguished by its long service life

Transparent oil tank
Being transparent, the oil tank allows you to easily and quickly check the chain oil level. This ensures you always know when to refill the chain oil to work efficiently and durably

DE-RATING function
The de-rating function offers you 2 advantages for your work: on one hand, it protects your chainsaw from possible overheating by reducing the amperage. On the other hand, it informs you by reducing power if you only have a very low remaining battery charge. In both cases, this allows you to finish cuts already started without the motor shutting down

Connectivity
It is possible to install a Smart Connector 2 A in the designated position on the device housing. This is connected to the control unit and valuable machine data is transmitted to your smartphone, tablet, or the STIHL Connected Box at hand. You can view the recorded data within STIHLconnected via the STIHLconnected app and benefit from additional functions

Two-handed control
The STIHL chainsaw is equipped with an ergonomic tubular handle and a comfortable rear control grip made with soft components. Thanks to the two-handed control, it is possible to work comfortably, effortlessly, and safely in all positions.
