- The ADA 1000 is primarily designed to be used with the BGA 300 leaf blower to reduce the machine's weight when working for extended periods. When using the BGA 300 with the recommended AR 3000 L battery, it weighs 16.9 kg. Paired with the ADA 1000 plus 2 AP 500 S batteries, the blower's weight is reduced to 13.3 kg. This makes working for long periods much more comfortable as less weight is carried on the back. To further reduce weight, it can be used with a single battery instead of two, although this will reduce the machine's operating time.
- The ADA 1000 is compatible with both the BGA 300.1 and BGA 300.0. However, if used on the earlier BGA 300.0 version, it will not have the automatic switching functionality due to software differences between the two models. To determine which BGA 300 you have, refer to the label on the machine or consult your local authorized STIHL dealer. The ADA 1000 is also compatible with the professional battery lawnmower RMA 765 V and the AR L carrying system. When used with the carrying system, it is not recommended to use the ADA 1000 with tools where there is a risk of cutting the cable, such as chainsaws or hedge trimmers.
