The Bishop Crown chili pepper, also known as Bishop's Hat or Campanella, is native to Puerto Rico.
The plant can reach 70-80 cm, is very productive, and is widely grown as an ornamental plant.
The fruit, with its characteristic small elongated bell shape, can reach sizes of 7-8 cm in diameter and 5-7 cm in length and appears red in color.
Sowing is done at a depth of 1 cm, placing 2-3 seeds per pot; after 3-4 weeks seedlings will emerge and when they have 4-5 leaves, excess seedlings can be removed, leaving one per pot (the most developed and robust one).
Harvest generally begins 90-120 days after sowing.
Intermediate cycle variety with a bushy plant 100-120 cm tall, bell-shaped fruits 5-7 cm long, green-orange-red in color.
