- The worm gear, once inserted between the clutch drum and the oil pump, is driven by the movement of the chain, consequently activating the oil pump and allowing the lubricating oil to flow from the tank to the chain. We always recommend using suitable chain oils such as Stihl BioPlus oil to ensure optimal chain performance and reduce issues that may occur with the spare parts of your gardening machine, such as the oil pump and the worm gear
