• ASFALTIVAL SPECIAL is a bituminous mixture workable at room temperature
• It is a blend of selected aggregates (siliceous sands and granules). The binder consists of bitumen, eco-friendly vegetable oils, plasticizers, and additives that make the mixture easily workable for a long time (at least six months) from packaging
• It is mainly, but not exclusively, intended for the maintenance of road pavements, pothole filling, repair of small surfaces, closing excavations for the laying of underground utilities, small patching, and crack sealing
• It is easy and quick to apply, eliminating hazards caused by irregularities in the road surface to ensure user safety
• It withstands over time the stresses imposed by vehicular traffic on main and secondary roads, both urban and extra-urban
• Furthermore, ASFALTIVAL SPECIAL, with due care, can be applied on pavements other than roads, such as condominium and commercial areas paved with asphalt or concrete, private areas, access roads, and rural areas

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Easy to use and ready to apply immediately, it is necessary to first clean the application area, then place the mixture.
The product does not require a bonding layer even on damp or wet surfaces, although its presence can improve the final result.
ASFALTIVAL SPECIAL 0/10 requires intervention thicknesses of at least 2.5 cm (1.5 cm for ASFALTIVAL SPECIAL 0/5).
Ensure that the repair depth does not exceed 5-6 cm; otherwise, apply subsequent well-compacted layers, performing compaction with suitable equipment.
Final hardening occurs through compaction. In cases of low traffic, compact well using a roller, vibrating plate, or tamper. In these cases, it is advisable to apply a thin layer of non-powdery sand on the surface. Once the work is finished, traffic can be reopened immediately
