The desired operating mode is activated via the handle and displayed on the integrated screen

If the STIHL BTA 140 drill jams during operation, the STIHL QuickStop system automatically detects the torque and stops drilling. Work can be resumed immediately by reactivating the drill via the control handle.

Stihl QuickStop System
FOR SAFE WORKING. The STIHL QuickStop system automatically stops drilling as soon as it detects a twist of the drill bit. This usually occurs when the bit jams. The system ensures the drill stops immediately in this case. Once the jam is removed or the bit is loosened by turning it counterclockwise, the drill can be reactivated via the grip and drilling can resume.

QuikStop System Transport Compartment
PROTECTED TRANSPORT. The STIHL QuickStop system stop lever can be folded and locked for transport, reducing bulk during storage. Additionally, the compact design of the STIHL QuickStop transport bracket protects all system components from impacts during transport.
