Other information
- Bottos Maciste seeds create a beautiful, medium-textured, wear-resistant lawn ideal for mild or warm areas with evident issues of high summer temperatures and drought risk
- Maciste seeds also perform very well in shade (up to 50% less direct light) and are therefore even suitable for conifer shade
- Thanks to the new cultivars used, particularly perennial ryegrass, Maciste is very fast in the initial planting phase, immediately filling empty spaces and leaving no room for potential weeds
- The seeds consist of very resistant varieties with bright green coloration even during the cold season
- The lawn, at full maturity, appears dense and uniform, with marked resistance to summer fungal diseases
- Excellent for creating recreational, ornamental, and utility turf carpets

USAGE TIPS
Seeding and Dosage: Germination can take from 4 to 10 days, directly correlated with soil temperatures (required soil temperature above 8°C). The dosage is 40-50 gr/sqm; maximum doses are recommended in case of high temperatures and/or imperfect seedbed preparation. It is advisable to use lawn soil. For renovation, increase the dosage to 55 gr/sqm
Mowing: Perform the first cut when the grass reaches 8-10 cm. During annual management in shaded areas, do not go below 6 cm, while in mixed sun/shade areas maintain 4 cm.
Never remove more than 30% of the existing vegetation. If a finer-textured lawn is desired, the cutting height can be lowered to 35 mm, while above 45 mm the leaves remain larger. In pine shade, do not go below 60 mm mowing height.
Irrigation: During sowing and overseeding, keep the soil constantly moist until full germination. For a mature lawn, irrigate with 10 mm of water every 2-3 days during the summer period. Be careful with water management; do not overdo the amount and frequency of watering during the hottest periods to avoid promoting potential seasonal diseases. In case of pine shade, double the watering times during the hottest periods.
Nutrition: Apply phosphate fertilization at sowing, then manage the turf at maturity with 20 units of Nitrogen per m² annually, choosing fertilizers specifically formulated for lawns, preferably controlled-release. Schedule 4 fertilizations per year. Also plan 2 to 4 biostimulant treatments to increase tolerance to foot traffic and heat.
