- Kaolin is a white clay extracted from quarries; after grinding, it has very fine particles and can be sprayed onto plants using atomizers.
In agriculture, it serves multiple functions: it limits the development of the olive and fruit fly, and the grape leafhopper, as it hinders insect egg laying; it can be used as a protective agent against heat scorch, as it reflects solar rays, cooling
the plants; it does not close leaf stomata, nor does it block photosynthesis; it is not a pesticide but a freely sold product, non-toxic, free from pollutants, and has no withdrawal periods - Permitted in Organic Farming
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS:
Kaolin is used in olive growing for its action against the egg laying of the olive fly, to reduce plant exposure to solar radiation, and to decrease leaf evapotranspiration in olive groves, vineyards, and vegetable crops.
It must be applied preventively before egg laying, with monthly treatments.
In vineyards and vegetable crops, it promotes resistance to water stress and protects against sunburn.
LIQUID TREATMENTS: Fill the tank halfway, with the agitator running, pour in the kaolin powder until fully dispersed, then complete filling the tank with water. Once dissolved in water, the product must be applied immediately.
Doses: Olive groves 2.5-5 Kg/100 liters from July to September
Vineyards 2.5-5 Kg/100 liters from July to September
Vegetable crops 2.5-5 Kg/100 liters from transplanting to harvest
